Caring for your fabric

Embellished, beaded and embroidered fabrics should be dry cleaned. Press them from the back through a cloth so the beadwork is not flattened.

Crepes and chiffons are happiest in cold water, gently, without wringing. Hang them to dry and press while slightly damp.

Velvet has a direction. Steam it rather than iron it, and never press the pile flat.

Linen creases, and that is part of it. Warm iron while damp if you want it crisp.
